Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using thecvdrop.com (the "Service"), operated by Micromedia Ltd ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to work legally in your country to use the candidate side of the Service.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of your CV and any content you upload. By uploading it, you grant us a licence to store, process, and analyse it (including via third-party AI providers, see our Privacy Policy) solely to provide the matching and application features of the Service. Employers retain ownership of their job postings and grant us a licence to display them to candidates.

4. AI-generated matching — no guarantee of accuracy

CV parsing, match scores, and recommendations are generated using AI models and are provided for convenience only. We don't guarantee they're complete, accurate, or that any particular job match reflects a genuine fit. Always review a job posting yourself before applying, and review your parsed CV data for accuracy before relying on it.

5. Employer responsibilities

Employers are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of job postings, including compliance with applicable employment and anti-discrimination law in the countries where a role is posted (UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia). We may remove a posting that violates these Terms or the law at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is fraudulent, unlawful, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Post a job that doesn't represent a genuine opening, or that discriminates unlawfully.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
• Use another person's CV or identity without their permission.

7. Fees and job credits

The Service is free for candidates. Employer job postings and any paid candidate features are subject to the pricing on our Pricing page, which may change from time to time — we'll give notice of material changes to paid plans.

8. Third-party advertising

The Service may display advertisements from third parties. We aren't responsible for the content, products, or services offered on an advertiser's own site once you leave thecvdrop.com.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraud or abuse, or poses a security risk to the Service or other users.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Micromedia Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including hiring or employment decisions made based on it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
